livebook: Autocompletion doesn't work on macOS with any browser

Environment

  • Elixir & Erlang/OTP versions (elixir --version): Erlang/OTP 24 [erts-12.1.5] [source] [64-bit] [smp:8:8] [ds:8:8:10] [async-threads:1] [jit] [dtrace] [x86_64-apple-darwin21.1.0]
  • Operating system: macOS Monterey 12.0.1
  • How have you started Livebook (mix phx.server, livebook CLI, Docker, etc): livebook server
  • Livebook version (use git show if running with mix): 0.4.1
  • Browsers that reproduce this bug (the more the merrier): Chrome Version 96.0.4664.93 (Official Build) (x86_64), Firefox 95.0, Safari Version 15.1 (17612.2.9.1.20) (latest versions as of now)
  • Include what is logged in the browser console: nothing
  • Include what is logged to the server console: nothing

Current behavior

In the “Elixir and Livebook” notebook’s “Autocompletion” section, placing the cursor after the dot in System. and pressing ctrl + space doesn’t show autocompletion suggestions. I assume I’d need to use the cmd + space shortcut, but that is bound to spotlight search on macOS.

Expected behavior

The binding should use the actual control key on macOS, or avoid triggering spotlight search with cmd + space.

@jonatanklosko ah, so let’s keep Monaco/Visual Studio defauls for both. It is up to you if we should list it.
