core: Tuya integration is empty

The problem

Today, all my Tuya devices disappeared. I only see a hub without any entities. What did I do to resolve:

  1. Deleted the Tuya integration.
  2. Restart HA.
  3. On the developers, Tuya page I deleted all the cloud projects.
  4. Created a new cloud project following the instructions from HA.
  5. All my devices are linked, to the new project, in the developer’s platform.
  6. In HA added the Tuya integration, filled in the Tuya developer’s access id and access secret key and my Tuya login.credentials from the Tuya app.
  7. The integration is added with success, however again no entities.

Same issue here in Switzerland. I lost all my devices in Tuya. On the mobile every thing is OK I deleted my Tuya integration and reinstalled it. But no change! All devices are gone since today but still available in the tuya webportal Home assistant core V. 24.1.3

I just did the following steps:

  • Had a look in the API developer portal under https://eu.iot.tuya.com/cloud/products (Cloud Services). Here you will see the status of your services. If the trial is expired, it will say so and you are able to click on that to get a renewal (only 6 months)
  • Wait for the renewal to be accepted, took about an hour for me
  • I already removed the Tuya integration, so I set it up again and it worked again. If you already have the integration set up, don’t remove it and see if it fixes your issue.

Same problem, probably i’ll replace all my Tuya hardware. A ton of problems, i feel like i bought some childs to take care.

I tried a few things - including ‘buying’ seemingly $0 one month extensions, but nothing seemed to have impact, but this/your post nudged me in the right direction.

Initially it appeared to say I already had a trial, and it couldn’t be extended, but then after it refreshed there was an ‘extend trial period’ button - right where it now says ’ Your application for extension is being reviewed’ - i’ll report back if this was indeed successful.

True to my word, I have returned to report that, I have rebooted (no email, just speculatively)

Same issue. I have a current Tuya dev portal account, so my problem has nothing to do with an expired account. All of my Tuya devices disappeared, and I was left with “0 devices” and “0 entities”.

Solution: I installed the SmartLife app on my phone. I then had to add all my Tuya devices (mostly switches) to the Smart Life app by clicking on the “+” add device button in the app and then holding down the switch paddles until the switches went into pairing mode with a fast blinking light (about 5 seconds). Fortunately, the SmartLife app somehow knew the name of all my Tuya devices and gave them the same name in the SmartLife app. I then installed the SmartLife beta code (see https://github.com/tuya/tuya-smart-life) and followed the instructions for copying the Me->Setting Icon->Account and Security->User Code into the code settings popup as documented. All of the SmartLife devices showed up in Home Assistant and worked as before.

Bad news: You will need to fix all of your automations, dashboards, and helpers that used tuya entity ids. I have 50 Tuya devices so this took me several hours.
