core: Cast integration is blocking regular casting of SiriusXM
The problem
Starting a few weeks ago or so regular casting of SiriusXM to any nest speaker or google device fails with error code 1001 when trying to cast from phone or computer. This can be fixed by disabling the Google Cast integration on Home assistant.
If i start the casting and then re-enable the cast integration everything seems to work fine and I can still control the devices.
After stoping casting, while the integration is still running, I am unable to start a cast again from phone or computer. This is fixed by disabling the integration again.
This is only occuring with SiriusXM. Works fine (few hicups here and there) with Youtube music and spotify.
Noticed a “unknown namespace message” but not sure why that would block the casting.
Please let me know any other logs or troubleshooting i can provide.

Just tried with 2023.11.2. Problem still there. Almost time of year to start casting Christmas music. 😊
Thanks for the ping but like @jsermer stated this issue is almost certainly originated from pychromecast. My advice would be to create an issue there in that repository and maybe even create a minimal reproduction setup by just using pychromecast.
I just wanted to thank you again sir, I can’t believe after all this time it was just HA breaking casting. When I had originally looked up this issue, I couldn’t find a thing that referenced this or made sense. Googled for hours. Just baffling that it’s been broken for this long and I’m just now finding the cause. THANK YOU! 😃

Same issue! Wow no idea it was home assistant
I’ve been looking for a solution to this very problem and never would have suspected home assistant to be the cause. But as soon as I disabled the integration I was able to cast from my phone using the SiriusXM app on Android to my cast devices
