TeXiFy-IDEA: Spell checker is slow to update

Type of JetBrains IDE (IntelliJ, PyCharm, etc.) and version

PyCharm 2019.1.3 (Community Edition) Build #PC-191.7479.30, built on May 29, 2019 JRE: 11.0.2+9-b159.60 x86_64 JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o macOS 10.13.6

TeXiFy IDEA version

0.6.5

What I did (steps to reproduce)

Type a word with mistake
Wait until word is underlined with spellchecker inspection
Fix mistake

Expected behavior

Inspection goes away.

Actual behavior

The word is still underlined. Sometimes it takes couple of minutes, sometimes it stays underlined seemingly forever.

Interesting. Thanks! I’ll try to diagnose the issue. Perhaps, some extension is the cause.

BTW, I’ve looked into current and possible new spellchecker for IntelliJ. In average, spellchecker checks about 1 million words per second. So, I am really not sure that we can and should make it faster 😃
