zellij: Does not open anymore

Further information Zellij crashed. Afterwards I typed zellij again to open it and now it hangs. The command doesn’t stop executing.

Workaround For anyone finding this issue, here is the workaround to get Zellij working again (but don’t forget to add any information in the comments first)

macOS: rm -r /System/Volumes/Data/private/var/folders/5j/mszng5kj02s9smyq132753qr0000gn/T/zellij-501
linux: sudo rm /run/user/1002/zellij/0.39.2/<session>

I’ve just had this issue myself, though I wasn’t scrolling at all (using wezterm). I ate dinner and came back to my zellij session having crashed with the buffer full message.

Update: it just happened again while scrolling in Helix. It exited with the message:

Error occured in server:
Buffer full
