wandb: [App]: Summary gets ignored; Runs page shows incorrect summary

Current Behavior

If you take a look at the files, the summary is successfully uploaded: https://wandb.ai/xmax/mlp_may23/runs/7u7zj1j1/files/wandb-summary.json

However, if you look at the summary of the run, or at the Runs page, it shows no metrics or summary at all for this particular run:

This behavior appears inconsistent as other sweep runs with the exact same code do contain summary and the stats. wandb sync says No runs to be synced. Thanks.

Expected Behavior

Have stats on the Runs page, as well as Summary in Run’s info.

Hi @pochtar thanks so much, sorry that this issue hasn’t been fixed. I will raise this with our Infra team to see why it still shows incorrect values, and will keep you updated. Regarding the wandb sync this should be feasible if you have the run directories still available. When you’re syncing the directories it will create a dummy empty file to mark them synced, so next time you will need to use the --include-synced flag. If you hadn’t synced these before then you will need the --include-online flag (documentation here). Please let me know if that worked for you.

Hi @pochtar just an update on this, the Infra team is currently running a more extended backfill and it should cover these runs too. We will keep you posted here once it’s complete, so that you can check again. Thank you for reporting!
