bazzite: Couldn't boot into Gaming Mode

Describe the bug

  • Starting the PC boots into desktop mode.
  • Executing the “Return” shortcut from the desktop logs the user out and takes the user back into desktop mode.

What did you expect to happen?

  • The bazzite-deck all AMD PC should boot into Gaming mode by default.
  • Executing the “Return” shortcut from the desktop should take the user into Gaming mode.
  • First time encountering this issue in the past ~year of gaming/using Bazzite (deck) on this custom HTPC.

Extra information or context

Don’t recall doing anything in particular to have caused this - definitely have never installed any “external” packages or made any tweaks outside of whatever’s done with Bazzite. May have updated (successfully) through Gaming mode, or through the command, ujust update and restarted prior to this issue, but cannot confirm this.
