umldoclet: Unanticipated error generating UML: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot read from configured destination directory ""!

Expected Behavior

When calling javadoc with UML Plugin, the documents and images should be generated.

Actual Behavior

javadoc aborts with the following message:
