sway: libadwaita applications do not have full space(on a connected monitor)

Please fill out the following:

Sway Version:
- sway version 1.7 on fedora 36
Description:
- open terminal
- run gnome-calendar or gnome-text-editor (both are based on libadwaita as far as I understand)

Or open Text Editor (new gnome simple text editor) from within wofi in a new desktop:

It couldn’t be resized with the mouse, however, if you put it into floating mode you can resize it but it immediately goes back to the original size.

Then it’s a bug on their side, they should update the geometry accordingly.

Just trying to understand here: if the issue only happens on wl-roots based compositors, what makes you think the bug comes from the clients ?

Can confirm that the issue isn’t specific to Sway. It manifests itself a bit differently under Hyprland: instead of resetting its size, it stops adapting and stretches, with the hitboxes being unusable.

Most likely related to wlroots.
