rancher: Shared VPC missing when using GPC
What kind of request is this (question/bug/enhancement/feature request): bug
Steps to reproduce (least amount of steps as possible):
- Create a shared VPC in GPC
- Try creating cluster in GPC (https://rancher.com/docs/rancher/v2.x/en/cluster-provisioning/rke-clusters/node-pools/)
Result:
The shared vpc network is not visible in the network dropdown.

Other details that may be helpful: As a test we did try and give the service account full admin rights and still can’t see the shared VPC.
Environment information
- Rancher version (
rancher/rancher/rancher/serverimage tag or shown bottom left in the UI): v2.2.4 - Installation option (single install/HA): HA

same issue here.
Same problem here with high impact in internal clients using rancher.
I’m having the same problem, hope we get some fix although it’s has been a year already…
We have to manually create our GKE clusters in the correct project with shared vpc and manually import them into Rancher. This has been on the Rancher “to-do” list for a long time now. Fortunately our environment is pretty static. Please get this working.
