rancher: Rancher UI opening too slowly

What kind of request is this (question/bug/enhancement/feature request): Bug

Steps to reproduce (least amount of steps as possible): Installed Rancher v2.2.2 using Helm as described in documentation

Result: UI is too slow. Clicking on any link in UI easily takes more than a minute to open.

Other details that may be helpful: Also checked etcd. It has some messages related to latency

etcdserver: read-only range request "key:\"/registry/configmaps/kube-system/cattle-controllers\" " with result "range_response_count:1 size:413" took too long (161.08599ms) to execute

Let us know if there is something left to investigate.

For the cluster that is slow, do you have a very large number of any partciular resource? Possibly configMaps? Whats the output of these commands?

kubectl get configmaps --all-namespaces | wc -l
kubectl get pods --all-namespaces | wc -l
