What happened?

A bug happened!

The database folder plugin doesn’t seem to handle concurrent rendering of multiple databases when i believe it is called simultaneously. hat i did was i opened one database on one pane and other on other pane, whole obsidian freezes as a result. I tried initial debugging steps and they are : -

  1. I tried launching obsidian from cli to view any warnings errors etc. (nothing was found, everything was normal)
  2. I tried using dev tools, everything was fine there as well.
    • using dev tags gave me indication that when i open other database my whole dev panel give a simple msg, the dev tools disconnected and my obsidian is pure white, nothing can be seen except a freezed dev panel with that msg.

I have figured out what the problem is, the problem occurs when the Sliding Panes (Andy Matuschak Mode) Obsidian Plugin is activated. Seems just right, because that’s what common in all the people facing the freezing issue.

I have verified the issue is resolved when Sliding panes plugin is disabled, that’s the root cause of all conflicting. @RafaelGB You should check how sliding panes is interfering with the rendering of database tables. I would update the title of this bug report in the meantime.

I just came here looking to report the same thing, and its very strange that two people would get exactly the same issue within 15 minutes of each other…
