nylas-mail: Error after authenticating - `We were unable to reach your mail provider. Please try again.`

When I try adding my Gmail account to Nylas, allowing Nylas to use services, and after seeing the “You’re all set!” message, my Nylas window doesn’t do anything. Opening up the developer toolbar yielded this message:

Then I can’t go any further. This happens every time I try to add my Gmail account.

I’m still having issues. Anything I can try?
I’ve tried removing the app’s permissions from my Google account, no luck. IMAP is enabled as my email works great with Mail.app, PostBox, AirMail, Spark and so on.
I have used Nylas in the past and it use to work fine. Stopped when it became paid. Trying to come back now that it’s free.
