minishift: Starting with v1.0.0-rc.3 minishift-centos7.iso hangs with vmwarefusion driver

I’m needing to use the v1.0.0-rc.3/minishift-centos7.iso image, and when I try this after removing my existing ~/.minishift directory, the start simply hangs:
