minishift: Checking for available ports ... FAIL

Steps to reproduce

  1. Followed instructions to setup xhyve and download minishift
  2. ran minishift start
  3. error

Expected

minishift and openshift start as expected

Actual

   Error: Cannot get TCP port information from Kubernetes host
   Caused By:
     Error: cannot create container using image openshift/origin:v3.7.1
     Caused By:
       Error: Error: No such image: openshift/origin:v3.7.1

m start --network-nameserver [dns]

[dns] can take a public DNS, like 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 (Google DNS), 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1 (CloudFlare DNS), or 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS), but consider using local DNS services if possible…

Note: the error is actually that the container image can not be pulled from Docker Hub, so it either a general networking issue (caused by VPN), or a DNS lookup issue
