vscode: cmd+shift+e not working if activity bar is hidden

Type: Bug

some basic keyboard shortcuts like [ cmd+shift+e (show explorer), cmd+shift+x (show extensions), ] don’t work if activity bar is hidden.

i re-installed vscode after deleting vscode.app from /Application, ~/.vscode and ~/Library/Application\ Support/Code but the shortcuts doesn’t work after sync and add some folders as trusted workspaces. (i even deleted my github config sync for debugging) but none of these worked.

i eventually found that showing activity bar all the time (top or side, not hidden) make the problem disappear.
