client: ERROR CODE 2806 - MDServer Unauthorized

Hello Team,

We are expecting an issue when we are trying to access the team folders.

When we manually add ourselves as admin or reader or writer to any team, when we open the team folder we get the following error: Error: ERROR CODE 2806 - MDServer Unauthorized in method keybase.1.SimpleFS.simpleFSSubscribePath at new RPCError (file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/main.bundle.js:1:1064492) at convertToRPCError (file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/main.bundle.js:1:1065369) at convertToError (file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/main.bundle.js:1:1065428) at file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/main.bundle.js:1:2540801 at file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/vendors~main.bundle.js:2:199147 at Deferrals._call (file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/vendors~main.bundle.js:2:11095) at file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/vendors~main.bundle.js:2:11287 at trampoline (file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/vendors~main.bundle.js:2:10823) at Deferrals._fulfill (file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/vendors~main.bundle.js:2:11240) at ret (file:///opt/keybase/resources/app/desktop/dist/vendors~main.bundle.js:2:10236)

We have the last version of Keybase (5.7.1) it happens in differents S.O (Linux and Windows). We have created new teams, only the owner are able to manage/see/create/delete files in the team folder, but if other members join it, they can’t see the team folder.

We have tried to:

  • Log out and re-login
  • Use differents roles admin/reader/writer without success
  • Delete and install again Keybase
  • Revoke and grant permissions again

Someone can help us? If you need more information let me know!

I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem and I don’t see any issues on our side, but I restarted one of our servers just in case. Is anyone still seeing it now?

Experiencing exactly the same issue. Attempted to downgrade the client I was using without success.

We’re having the same issue with mac. Would be great if another server restart could solve it.
