core: Unable to update to Core 2023.12.1

The problem

Unable to update to Core 2023.12.1. Every time I run an update, to new version, it looks like its going to install, it restarts and I can see that the version remains the same (and the prompt to install the update remains).

Logs show the following:

2023-12-14 00:07:47.613 WARNING (Recorder) [homeassistant.components.recorder.util] The system could not validate that the sqlite3 database at //config/home-assistant_v2.db was shutdown cleanly
2023-12-14 00:07:47.691 WARNING (Recorder) [homeassistant.components.recorder.util] Ended unfinished session (id=23 from 2023-12-14 00:07:32.822690)

Running on VM which has been working away ok for a year+. Any hints gratly appreciated.

My Pi4 is exhibiting the same behavior trying to upgrade from 11.3 to either 12.1 or 12.2.

Same and I started a thread on the HA forum asking for help. I seem to be able to update but the system reverts back to 2023.11. after about 30 minutes and its own initiated restart. Logs don’t seem helpful.

Same here. Except, I’m on 2023.12.0. RPi3, same log message, can’t update to 2023.12.1, 2023.12.2 nor 2023.12.3.

Same here 😕

And 12.3 (pi4)

Same here on Pi3, nothing to really notice in logs…
