core: External hosts do not resolve reliable
The problem
My HomeAsssistant cannot create connections to external hosts in a reliable matter. The following integrations/components suffer from that:
- calendar
- ecovacs
- rest
Environment
- Home Assistant Core release with the issue: 0.117.5
- Last working Home Assistant Core release (if known): 0.116.4
- Operating environment (OS/Container/Supervised/Core): raspbian, supervised
- Integration causing this issue: DNS

Additional information
After a reboot of the container, the ecovacs integration sometimes (!) fails. Issueing a notification using the REST API from the developer tools fails. Calendars cannot be loaded. Google TTS integration fails. Nevertheless, the update notfication is working. I have no idea, where to check for help.

There hasn’t been any activity on this issue recently.
