core: core-2021.6.2 breaks Samsung Smart TV

The problem

The state of the Samsung TV isn’t reported correctly anymore after upgrading to 2021.6.2 Since the upgrade the state is always “Unavailable”. It used to be “On” and “Off”. Reverting to 2021.6.1 solves the issue.

I have the same problem since 2021.6. Its on or unavailable. Off state doesnt show anymore. I deleted integration , i renamed it but still same problem.

Will look into adding dhcp support for these after https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/52882 is done

@RSDynamics , how did you manually fill the MAC? I have the same issue:

“method”: “websocket”,

I bet you are connected via LAN and not via wifi. Correct ?

Yes, TV is connected via LAN. No built in WiFi in our TV.

Manually filling the MAC address solved the issue for me. Thanks!
