core: Can't upgrade to 2024.2.1
The problem
I am unable to upgrade my HomeAssistent core version. It already failed wheny I tried to update to 2024.2.0 but back then I thought I’d have the issue which got resolved in 2024.2.1 https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/109966. I checked my /config/.storage/core.config_entries file now though and there are only single entries in there and no arrays or dicts (a couple of null though)
I can’t find any hint’s to waht might cause this in the supervisor loggs and I also don’t have any rollback logs, the upgrade just ends with staying a the same version.
I now noticed though that 2024.2 came with python 3.12 as depndency and even though I am on the latest Home Assistant os Vertsion 11.5 my python version is still reported as 3.11.6. Could this be the cuplrit?
I see some vs code errors in the supervisor logs but wouldn’t know how these would relate the issue. I thought these are related to me ahving the window open while trying to upgrade

Fixed for me with Version 2024.3.0 but I have no idea why. Couldn’t find anything in the changelings that could explain it tbh.
Can someone else confirm?
That’s a shame - I’ve been playing with it for quite a while, and will continue, but nothing shows up in the logs as causing a problem. I may wait until the 2024.2.2 update to see if that resolves it and if that doesn’t work I may roll back to the backup I took beforehand and try from 2024.1.4 (or whatever it was) directly to 2024.2.1… If I find anything I’ll update it here : )
