core: Can't delete groups after removing entities.

The problem

I had created a group with some room lights; I changed some things and decided to re-create it, so I deleted the entities within the group intending to fill them in again later… changed my mind and decided to delete the groups but now there is not method for deletion. I tried multiple browsers (saw post in Community Forum to try this) but still no delete button or other method to remove the group. When listing helpers these three groups show up with red circled exclamation mark & no entitiy_id but wth the original Name.

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

core-2024.2

What was the last working version of Home Assistant Core?

Before I decided to delete them - core-2023

Diagnostics information

No method seems to exist for delete these groups. I filled in the entities again but only get the group dialog WITHOUT the delete button, no entity_id but with original name. NOTE: I do not have these groups defined in configuration.yaml.

Also: I have restarted HA, and also restarted hardware as well multiple times.
