Hello, my Bmw connected has stopped working a few months ago, this is the error that my home assistant gives. ERROR: Reintentando la configuración: Error communicating with BMW API: Client error ‘401 Unauthorized’ for url… Is it possible error in the API? help!!! bmw

Same happens to me (Europe/World server), if you try to login again after a while on bmw website. It always asks you to reset the password. No need to change the password, just use the saved password. Now you can log back on to the car, home assistant, app, etc.

However after a day or so it stops working in home assistant. There is supposedly an update in the next version of home assistant that hopefully fix this.

Not sure if it is the BMW server that is acting up, or if it is home assistant that does something that forces us to reset the password.

Yesterday, I attempted to use the BMW app on my phone and, no surprise, login failure. No problem, it was stored using my password manager. Selected those credentials and bam… but no dice! One more day later & those same credentials weren’t working anymore on the website via. the same PC I’d set it from before.

So I did the PW reset on the website again this evening. Works on the website just fine. Installed & configured via the HA integration and this time, it works!
