core: AlarmDecoder integration zones stops working after few minutes - started after 2020.12 upgrade

The problem

AlarmDecoder doesn’t get zone alarms after latest update to hassos and hassio core. I am using RPI3 hassos. It worked fine with 0,118 release and after the upgrade, I get a few zone updates at startup (door open/close) etc. But in a few minutes, I don’t see any updates (e.g. entities don’t show as open/close etc). I know that panel, USB device, ser2sock is working because a separate node-red container (running on a different host) continues to receive zone open/close messages.

I am on HA version 2021.5.3 now, and original issue this issue seems to be fixed. I no longer see any errors in the logs. Actually I haven’t seen any issues in last month or so and I have been pretty current in following latest HA releases.

Last time I saw it was when I tried to execute a service and just got an error repsonse in the Home Assistant web ui saying “Bad file descriptor”

It seems like the connection is getting lost and the reconnection logic is not working.

Will try to grab logs next time it happens.
