core: Aladdin Connect Integration slow to update state after 2023.2

The problem

I have two garages connected to HA with the Aladdin Connect integration. Before 2023.2 I believe it was working well the garages within seconds after they were closed or opened either by HA or externally. Now it can take several minutes for the state to update especially from open to closed or closed to open that the series of state changes (eg. from open to close) is missed and the garage always reports closed. Even actions in HA will cause the garage to display closing or opening state for some time until they finally update. This makes it impossible to open the garage then close the garage without waiting several minutes for a state update. The aladdin connect app itself does update in time.

Anything in the logs that might be useful for us?

There were no errors associated with the integration in the logs.

During this time I opened/closed the garage doors and waited for some time with the garage open then closed. The status fails to update. Garage 1 updated but only after closing with a quick close/open. Garage 2 never updated state.

Additional information

There is at least one more person who may be experiencing this issue: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/aladdin-connect-not-working-correctly-with-latest-updates/531475

Looking at the change log seems in 2023.2 there were several changes to the Aladdin Connect with respect to bumping the dependency version. Perhaps these changes introduced the error, maybe we can revert the integration back to how it was in 2023.1

Something broke with the websocket code which apparently worked in 0.1.48. Once I get a handle on what is broken, I can fix it. It’s not clear what is broken.
