.tmux: This .tmux.conf is unworkably slow on my MacBook

I’m not sure exactly when this happened but sometime over the weekend I noticed that tmux was hogging all of the resources on my computer and just making everything unbearably slow. I uninstalled and removed this .tmux.conf from my machine. Reinstalling tmux wokred fine but reinstalling this .tmux.conf continued the issue. would love to use this again but it is not workable for me now. Curious if anyone else is having issues. Posting my specs below:

fish, version 3.2.2

macOS Big Sur Version 11.3.1
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)
Processor 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel COre i7
Memory 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Graphics Radeon Pro 555X 4 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
