scrcpy: Copy / Paste Broken on Android 10

I have read the FAQ.
I have searched in existing issues.

Environment

OS: Windows 10
scrcpy version: v1.16
installation method: Windows release
device model: Samsung Galaxy S9
Android version: 10

Problem Unable to copy content from desktop to phone. Clipboard not syncing and paste (alt+v / ctl+v) not working. Last worked in v1.14. Issues https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/issues/1658 and https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/issues/1668 did not seem relevant. Text injection however (alt+shift+v) does work.

Is your device rooted? (#1606)

Yes it is. I considered mentioning this initially but did not think it would be relevant as everything else works fine on the phone.
