fonttools: Unhandled exception on Gudea fonts

In the current google/fonts.git repo there are 3 files which [edit: @evanadams reports that] ttx fails to process:

ERROR: Unhandled exception has occurred
    ofl/gudea/Gudea-Bold.ttf
    ofl/gudea/Gudea-Italic.ttf
    ofl/gudea/Gudea-Regular.ttf
