Possible solution: I had installed watchman via
npm install -g watchmanbut apparently this installs some garbage old version.fixed the problem I think.
guys, do show your love and respect but please use the reaction emojis to that end. those of us who aren’t helped with the suggestions at the top have to keep scrolling through endless repetitions of “thanks XYZ”
Superb!
Update: The owner of the npm package agreed to delist it since it isn’t being maintained anymore. Hopefully that will avoid any confusion in the future 😃
Maybe you can try this
npm install fseventstoo which fixed my problemit works for me sudo chown -R
whoami/usr/local brew install watchmanhello! sorry i cannot help with this, i hope you can appreciate that there is little to no useful information in your issue that would help us with debugging the problem.

I don’t think that using of workaround instead of understanding of reason of the problem is good idea.
You all are making me feel better, I thought I was the only one who screwed this up 😉 It doesn’t actually install an “old version” it’s a totally different project that just happens to do exactly the same thing 😕 I’ve left a message on the npm module’s github asking if they would change the name.
Omg Thanks @Meekohi … I had really bad time during this problem, and could not solve this for a few weeks. and It works!!! Thanks! Finally, I am able to deploy my app on Expo
