App: [$500] Add account manually' option in Plaid takes you to home screen instead of connect manually screen - reported by @adeel0202

Action Performed:

  1. Go to payments screen
  2. Tap Add payment method and select bank account
  3. In the plaid search box, search some random bank (eg testt) which is not available on the list
  4. Tap on ‘Add account manually’ button

Expected Result:

“Add account manually’” should take to connect manually screen

Actual Result:

Add account manually’ button is taking to homescreen

Update: There has been daily back-and-forth with the support related to our configuration and our use of the SDK. While there is no decisive outcome yet, I expect to reach it relatively soon.

Am I eligible for C+ payment here?

@parasharrajat Lets just stick to https://github.com/Expensify/App/issues/7436#issuecomment-1225174285 for now. I’ll update it on our Prod Plaid account.

I chatted with Plaid, and they didn’t seem to have special functionality for the Exit vs their onClose option. Love that we really looked at different options here, but its a low-end bug. So lets go with the easiest solution for now.

@alex-mechler, now Add account manually doesn’t take the user to the home screen, but it doesn’t take to connect manually screen either. It is now taking the user back to the Payments screen. cc: @mvtglobally

Can probably take this over! Have one more issue to cleanup before fulling diving into this one
