ring: Ring Liveview (and other cameras) do not live stream anymore.

Live Streaming Issue

Describe the live streaming issue

Ring Live Streaming stopped working a couple of weeks ago along with my Nest Camera and a camera on FFMPEG. I’ve tried removing the FFMPEG plugin, Ring Plugin and Nest Camera plugin and reinstalling them but I’m not great at coding so I have been unable to resolve this issue. I thought this was related to the recent issue with live streaming so waited for an update but not you have released a fix it still doesn’t work so I’d appreciate any guidance/help you may offer to get this back up and running.

This error originated either by throwing inside of an async function without a catch block, or by rejecting a promise which was not handled with .catch(). To terminate the node process on unhandled promise rejection, use the CLI flag --unhandled-rejections=strict (see https://nodejs.org/api/cli.html#cli_unhandled_rejections_mode). Recommended solution

I’m unsure and have tried following guidance online to no avail.

Environment

  • Ring Camera: Doorbell v2, Floodlight Cam x 2, Stick Up Cam x2
  • OS: Mac OS X v10.13.6
  • Node.js: v12.18.3
  • NPM: 6.14.8
  • homebridge-ring (if applicable): v9.12.0
  • homebridge (if applicable): I’m really sorry, I’m unsure how you find this out?
  • hoobs (if applicable): [e.g. 0.4.50 or N/A]

Network Environment

I am using a BT Whole Home wifi mesh system, with the main disc connected to the router and modem for my internet connection. My Apple TV, iPad and iPhone all connect to the wireless network. The computer running Homebridge is a mid-2011 iMac which is patched into the network with an ethernet cable.

I hope this is enough information for some help, I really appreciate it as I’m not very good at coding.
