envycontrol: Hybrid mode bug black screen with blinking underscore

System info:

Manjaro (5.15.85-1)
HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cs1xxx
Nvidia 1050 GTX mobile
Intel® Core™ i7-8565U × 8
NVIDIA Proprietary Drivers
Gnome (43.2) X11 + gdm

Steps to reproduce

Change from any other mode to hybrid
Reboot

Temporary “fix”

Execute sudo envycontrol --reset. After reboot, command envycontrol -q returns hybrid mode but if I execute sudo envycontrol -s hybrid the bug triggers again
