dwm-flexipatch: Steam shows error on launch and none of the games work.

After updating to the latest commit, Steam shows a error to which if I click OK twice it launches but none of the games work as in pressing Play button does nothing or tries to launch then after couple of second its back to green for Play. Here is a video showing the issue, https://0x0.st/Hzd6.mp4

Sorry I could not show the Steam interface because of personal info like account user name and all, but it launches at the end of the video.

I also have Openbox installed and Steam works fine in that, so this is definitely something to do with dwm or some patch I used.

While looking for something completely unrelated, I saw this and wanted to mention that I also had this issue starting around a month ago. It seems to have corrected itself, likely through an update in Arch at some point.

Worth mentioning that I was not using your dwm-flexipatch. I was using dwm cloned from the suckless site.

The issue was almost exactly as they described. If I started steam through dmenu, while using the bind in dwm, the games using proton wouldn’t launch. They would exit immediately.

While still in dwm, if I used xbindkeys or sxhkd to run dmenu, I could launch steam and had no issues with the games.

I wish i could be more helpful than that. I got busy and would just use sxhkd to run dmenu, instead of trying to fix it. Seeing this post made me check to see if the issue still persists, but as I said at the start, it’s working again. I believe there is a post on the dwm subreddit where others have or had this issue.
