trivy-operator: Trivy Operator Dashboard in Grafana tutorial is not right

What steps did you take and what happened:

I tried to install trivy-operator + kube-prometheus-stack like described in Trivy Operator Dashboard in Grafana.

Unfortunately when I imported the Grafana dashboard Trivy Operator Dashboard - I got just “No data”

Looks like the Tutorial is obsolete or Grafana Dashbord is no longer working…

What did you expect to happen:

I should get the working trivy-operator + kube-prometheus-stack by following the official tutorial Trivy Operator Dashboard.

Anything else you would like to add:

Prometheus is also properly connected to Grafana - Datasource is defined, because Trivy Image Vulnerability Overview and Trivy Operator Reports dashboards are working fine.

Environment:

  • Trivy-Operator version (use trivy-operator version): 0.12.1
  • Kubernetes version (use kubectl version): v1.25.4
  • OS (macOS 10.15, Windows 10, Ubuntu 19.10 etc): macOS 13.2.1

I was going to wait for the dashboard to be a part of the repo to create an issue myself, but since it might help other people in the mean time there are indeed some issues with the dashboard.

In my case, I mostly modified it to be able to select the Datasource, and also removed the hardcoded time period. This works fine for me at the moment:
